Family emergency. An urgent family matter is one of the most frequent reasons to leave work early. If you’re a parent, one of your children may be sick at school and needs to see a doctor. Fake a minor injury that reasonably interferes with how well you do your job. Some common and believable accidents include falls, sprained ankles, cuts, and knee injuries. If you have to see your boss soon, fake an injury that heals quickly or is non-visible (like a pulled muscle).
